What we actually do

Messaging is the first lever. It's rarely the last.

Messaging

the one idea that does the work.

Media

podcasts, founder voice, the channel you own instead of rent.

Watch our two shows: ZeroSum and Prompt to Prod →
Community

the rooms your buyers trust — so your name is already in them before your rep shows up.

PLG

self-serve products that generate pipeline before a demo.

The bench

advisory boards, design partners, the people whose word closes enterprise deals.

THE STANDARD

A message is not finished because the team likes it.

Before a story leaves the room, it must survive five tests.

01

CAN THE BUYER REPEAT IT?

If a buyer cannot explain the company to a colleague after one conversation, the message is still too complicated.

02

DOES IT EXCLUDE SOMEBODY?

Messaging aimed at every security team gives no particular security team a reason to care.

03

CAN SALES PROVE IT?

Every meaningful claim must connect to evidence the company can demonstrate in a customer's real environment.

04

DOES THE OUTCOME CHANGE?

The message must identify what becomes measurably better for the customer—not simply what the product does.

05

WOULD A COMPETITOR REFUSE TO SAY IT?

If every competitor can use the same message without changing a word, it is category wallpaper.

The goal is not consensus. The goal is a story strong enough to make a choice.

THE ENGAGEMENT

The Cybersecurity Narrative Reset

Four weeks to turn a technically credible but increasingly ignored security company into a story buyers, sellers, employees, and investors can repeat.

01

FIND THE SIGNAL

Interview the founders and key field leaders. Examine the best customers, stalled deals, strongest product moments, buyer objections, competitive language, and the assumptions the company has accumulated over time.

02

MAKE THE CHOICES

Define the primary audience and explicit anti-audience. Identify the market assumption the company rejects, the buyer problem it can own, the promise it can defend, and the proof required to make that promise credible.

03

BUILD THE STORY

Create the company narrative, positioning statement, message hierarchy, homepage architecture, sales story, one-sentence explanation, objection responses, and language the entire company can use.

04

PRESSURE-TEST IT

Test the story against real buyer language, competitive claims, sales objections, and the question every CISO eventually asks: “Why do I need this if I already have everything else?”

WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH

  • A clearly defined audience and anti-audience
  • A differentiated market point of view
  • A defensible positioning and company narrative
  • A message house connecting claims to proof
  • A rewritten homepage message architecture
  • A 10-slide sales narrative and talk track
  • A one-sentence explanation employees can actually repeat
  • A field-testing plan for measuring whether the story works

Not a 100-page brand document. A working narrative your company can use on Monday.
